Overview
Software Tester to support KBR’s IT Software Development team, focused on testing web-based systems for multiple business units.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain test scripts to test in-house product component functionality and performance.
- Define and report test metrics to support project manager decisions and product acceptance criteria.
- Develop functional test cases and scenarios with business stakeholders, developers, and project manager.
- Provide technical expertise for internal quality control and reliability programs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced test personnel.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in lieu of an undergraduate degree (as stated) or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to create detailed test specifications and test plans.
- Experience testing web-based applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or IT.
- Expertise with ad hoc database queries using SQL or SQL tools like Toad.
- Experience testing web interfaces and data-load interfaces and reports.
- Communication and technical writing skills to produce formal test specifications and test plans.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
