Overview
Solution Engineer for ABB’s Industrial Automation Digital Organization, focused on DevOps-driven software lifecycle automation and CI/CD for application delivery.
What you'll do
- Establish and maintain DevOps channels, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous build environments.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Python for UI, API, regression, smoke, and database validation.
- Collaborate with project teams on requirement gathering, design discussions, documentation, and reviews.
- Report daily activities, expected deliverables, and progress to technical lead or manager.
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and automation workflows.
What you'll need
- Strong Python skills including Flask and experience with data-driven/keyword-driven testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest).
- Web UI automation experience with Selenium and Playwright.
- API test automation knowledge, including test case design and execution.
- Database testing and validation skills using SQL/NoSQL (MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Realtime DB).
- Hands-on CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins and Azure DevOps, plus Git-based source control.
- Knowledge of Azure and containerization tools (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
