Overview

Digital Solution Engineering Specialist for Advanced Process Control/Optimizer work in Energy Industries. You will lead engineering and design activities across the APC project lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Execute Advanced Process Control/Optimizer projects from assessment through post-audit.
• Implement ABB Ability™ Advanced Process Control/Optimizer technologies as a Lead Consultant/Engineer.
• Run and support APC studies, proof of concepts/trial evaluations, and user training.
• Support sales and marketing to grow Advanced Process Control/Optimizer business.
• Assist with technical and commercial proposals for new projects.
• Estimate budgets and perform cost modelling for projects.
• Share lessons-learned and develop standard processes and tools for productivity/quality improvement.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience using commercial APC software including ABB Ability™ PnC, Honeywell Profit™ Suite, Aspen DMCplus/DMC3, or Yokogawa SMOC.
• Experience in plant operations.
• Expertise in APC, control systems, and Open Platform Communication (OPC).
• Prior experience handling a complete APC project cycle in relevant sectors such as chemicals, energy/utilities, refinery/petrochemicals, or steam/power (steam and power generation mentioned).
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in advanced process control.
• Experience estimating engineering efforts and developing standards/tools for productivity improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering degree.
