Solution Lead Architect - SAP Sales & Distribution

Overview

Solution Lead Architect for SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD) within Caterpillar’s Order to Cash (OTC) team, focused on implementing and leading complex SAP SD/OTC solutions across order scenarios and pricing procedures.

What you'll do

• Deliver SAP SD/OTC solutions aligned to enterprise templates and business objectives.
• Lead and drive complex solution implementations, including project leadership.
• Gather requirements, develop tailored solutions, and oversee deployments and enhancements.
• Design and configure pricing procedures, including condition tables and types.
• Create high-level test plans, oversee UAT, and support script sign-off for key releases.
• Analyze, document, and revise business processes and system logic as needed.
• Identify opportunities and risks to ensure alignment with strategic outcomes.

What you'll need

• Extensive SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) focused IT experience (15+ years).
• Proven experience leading complex solution designs and intricate order scenario and pricing procedure implementations.
• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale ERP implementations and transformations.
• Integration technology proficiency (e.g., SnapLogic or APIs).
• Expert-level SAP SD functional knowledge across invoicing, pricing procedures, and sales order conversions.
• Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills for unique and complex challenges.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka; preference to be based out of Whitefield PSN Office, Bangalore, India.
• Work schedule: 5-day-a-week in the office with EMEA shift timings listed as 01:00PM–10:00PM IST.
• Travel requirement: may require 10% travel.
