Solutions Engineer

Overview

Solutions Engineer (Technical Solutions Engineer) in Cisco’s Technical Sales organization, acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners across Cisco’s technology portfolio.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute customer account strategies with account teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Translate customer business requirements into Cisco-based technical solutions.
• Design, present, and demonstrate solutions showing business value and technical capabilities.
• Lead customer engagements and strategic discussions with IT leaders and business stakeholders.
• Drive technical aspects of the sales cycle from opportunity qualification to solution design and deal closure.
• Coordinate virtual teams of technical resources to support customer opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity to improve market positioning.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or customer-facing technical sales roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience leading customer engagements and technical sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology domains including Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, and AI.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution workshops.
• Strong customer engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
