Overview
Solutions Engineer to work with sales and prospects, building technical and business cases for an AI-enabled predictive maintenance offering in heavy/process industries.
What you'll do
- Oversee discovery meetings and deliver platform demos and proof-of-value engagements.
- Act as a subject matter expert across predictive analytics, operations & maintenance, chemical engineering, and asset performance management.
- Translate customer pain points into technical solutions and communicate ROI and technical aspects to client management.
- Perform requirements gathering and gap analysis of user requirements.
- Support solution design, architecture review, and requirements discovery, definition, and documentation.
- Design and implement solutions combining process-domain knowledge (e.g., P&ID, PFD, equipment) with UptimeAI software capabilities.
- Maintain relationships with customers, peers, and partners, including 40–60% travel.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in chemical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Prior experience with predictive analytics tools/offerings, including AI applications or digital solutions such as APM and simulation.
- Prior operations and maintenance experience in a process industry such as oil and gas or chemicals.
- Strong operational knowledge in operations and maintenance on the process side (e.g., reactors and process understanding).
- General experience with industrial automation and manufacturing systems and data sources (e.g., SCADA, OPC, historians, DCS).
- Experience with CMMS systems and/or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), or work in a maintenance capacity in an industrial environment.
