Specialist - Compliance

Overview

Financial Crime Compliance Specialist responsible for following established internal procedures to prevent the organization from Financial Crime Risks related to sanctions, adverse news, and identifying PEPs and SOEs.

What you'll do

• Review alerts triggered for sanctions, PEP, SOE and adverse news across all regions.
• Conduct research from open sources and vendor reports for dispositions of alerts.
• Know the risk associated with a sanctioned party.
• Investigate counterparties for any adverse information.
• Multi-task when working on alerts.
• Apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.

What you'll need

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in BFSI or Insurance sector in name screening or payment screening function.
• Core knowledge of Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Regulations (AML/CTF).
• Understanding of false positive, potential match and true match.
• Worked on OFAC, UN and EU sanctions lists.
• Basic understanding of Financial Crime Compliance related to AML and Sanctions requirements.
• Graduate from a recognized university with good academic record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Responsive, enthusiastic and able to work under specified timelines.
• Ability to understand and address business issues and requirements effectively.
• Ability to work independently and still be team-oriented.
• Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized.

Nice to have

• CAMS, CFCS or any other compliance certification.

Details

• Based in the Mumbai, Hiranandani office.
• Hybrid work: expected to be in local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
