Specialist FAO - GL Specialist

Overview

Specialist FAO – GL Specialist to support General Ledger integrity, financial reporting accuracy, and month/quarter/year-end close in the Finance and Accounting Operations team.

What you'll do

• Own and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments with documentation.
• Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing schedules, variance analyses, and materials for auditors.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate GL workflows to improve accuracy and close cycle times.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting/GL/shared services.
• Proficiency with enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles and reporting standards.
