Accountant Associate

Overview

Inventory/GL Staff Accountant role supporting accurate financial transaction recording in line with GAAP and maintaining inventory-related accounting.

What you'll do

• Maintain SOX controls and processes related to inventory and COGS.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals for inventory, COGS, and related items.
• Validate physical inventory counts, on-hand reports, weekly cycle counts, and unfulfilled floor sales.
• Review daily inventory activity and return authorization closure and follow up on aged accruals.
• Cross-train on other GL and AP functions.
• Assist with inventory audits, compliance needs, and ad hoc/special projects.
• Work with multiple departments and warehouses.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 4–6 years of experience in Accounting GL and Reconciliation.
• ERP system experience (NetSuite strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Reports to the Inventory Accounting Manager.
• Supports inventory counts across U.S. retail locations.
• Work includes flexible night shifts 5:30 pm to 2:30 pm IST time.
