Sr. Analyst Accounting RTR

Overview

Part of the GFA Pune team, responsible for accounting activities with a focus on RTR (record-to-report) for daily operations of customers in EMEA and North America, supporting the Plant Controller in maintaining internal controls and compliance.

What you'll do

• Perform accounting activities with due focus on RTR for daily operations of customers in EMEA and North America from GFA, Pune.
• Work with the transitions team and understand process workflows, deciphering process interconnects and impacts.
• Support the Plant Controller in ensuring an adequate internal controls environment throughout the plant, including effective deployment of comprehensive account reconciliation and balance sheet review processes.
• Ensure financial accounting activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton corporate policies and practice.
• Manage end-to-end accounting across financial processes (RTR, OTC and PTP) with thorough understanding of each.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Demonstrate efficiency, agility and a high level of accuracy.
• Provide business partnership to all areas of the plant with functional expertise and cross-functional support, giving guidance and education to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives.
• Implement and deploy actions to ensure an adequate internal control environment and provide compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and applicable statutory requirements for your areas of responsibility.
• Provide active leadership to maintain compliance for all financial activities and safeguarding of plant assets in line with corporate policies and procedures.
• Drive and leverage systems and tools to automate processes and drive process improvements, using quality tools such as BPI, EBE, etc.
• Regularly review existing controls and govern standard processes, ensuring alignment to globally defined SSC processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support overall goals and objectives, working closely with the Team Leader - Accounting to achieve required goals and timelines, and proactively manage issues.
• Demonstrate a practical approach to continuous improvement of processes.
• Develop customer-facing KPIs, hold periodic performance meetings and closely monitor to close out open issues, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
• Ensure service delivery is managed in accordance with agreed processes and procedures, including service definition, service level management and reporting, and documentation with appropriate review documentation and audit trails.

What you'll need

• Accounting degree (CA), MBA-Finance or B.Com (Accounting), with required experience.
• 6-8 years of total experience.
• End-to-end process knowledge for GL/FA and good understanding of OTC and PTP encompassing overall accounting.
• Good experience of Oracle and SAP ERP.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Excellent analytical, written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across boundaries and business lines.
• Excellent MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Excel Macro.
