Analyst Accounting RTR

Overview

Accounting analyst role in the GFA Pune team, responsible for accounting activities with a focus on Record-to-Report (RTR) for EMEA and North America customers, supporting the Plant Controller in maintaining an adequate internal controls environment.

What you'll do

• Perform accounting activities with due focus on RTR for daily operations of customers in EMEA and North America from GFA Pune.
• Work with the transitions team and understand process workflows, deciphering process interconnects and impacts.
• Support the Plant Controller in deploying a comprehensive account reconciliation and balance sheet review process.
• Ensure financial accounting activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton Corporate policies and practices.
• Manage end-to-end accounting across financial processes (RTR, OTC and PTP), ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Provide business partnership to all areas of the plant, offering functional expertise, cross-functional support, guidance and education to plant personnel.
• Implement and deploy actions to ensure an adequate internal control environment and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and applicable statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance for all financial activities and safeguarding of plant assets in line with corporate policies and procedures.
• Drive and leverage systems and tools to automate processes and drive process improvements, using quality tools such as BPI and EBE.
• Review existing controls and govern standard processes, ensuring alignment to globally defined SSC processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and the Team Leader - Accounting to achieve goals and timelines, and proactively manage issues.
• Demonstrate a practical approach to continuous improvement of processes.
• Develop customer-facing KPIs, hold periodic performance meetings and monitor closely to close out open issues.
• Ensure service delivery is managed per agreed processes and procedures, including service definition, service level management and reporting, and documentation with appropriate review documentation and audit trails.

What you'll need

• Accounting Degree (CA), MBA-Finance or B.com. (Accounting) with required experience.
• 4-8 years of total experience.
• Must have end-to-end process knowledge for GL/FA and good understanding of OTC and PTP encompassing overall accounting.
• Good experience of Oracle and SAP ERP.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
• Knowledge of direct and indirect tax.
• Excellent analytical, written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across boundaries and business lines.
• Excellent MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and Excel Macro.
