Sr. Analytics Engineer

Overview

Sr. Analytics Engineer to own the transformation and certified metric logic in the Analytics Engineering layer, turning landed source data into governed, single-source-of-truth models.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models from staging through marts.
• Establish and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, and engineering practices.
• Migrate BI-tool calculated fields and manual SQL into governed, reusable models.
• Build and own the semantic layer and define certified metrics.
• Eliminate duplicated and conflicting metric definitions across reports and tools.
• Deliver governed data products via a repeatable land-to-certify-to-expose workflow.
• Improve data quality, testing, observability, and lineage documentation.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Advanced SQL with experience building production-grade, well-tested analytical data models.
• Strong dbt experience including staging-to-marts modeling, tests, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on dbt on a modern cloud data warehouse; direct Snowflake experience preferred.
• Experience building or operating a semantic/metric layer.
• Experience applying software engineering principles to analytics (Git version control, code review, testing, CI/CD).
• Solid grounding in data modeling and defining metrics/business logic from ambiguous requirements.
