Overview
Develop, test, and support secure, scalable Appian applications for Pfizer's MAPP anti-corruption compliance platform, working under the guidance of the Pfizer development lead.
What you'll do
- Gather and refine requirements with product owners, analysts, and senior developers, and convert them into technical scope, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify integration touchpoints and dependencies (APIs, data sources), and contribute to effort estimates and sprint planning.
- Contribute to the design of end-to-end Appian solutions (data model/CDTs and Records, SAIL UX, process models, security model) aligned to best practices and enterprise standards.
- Implement integrations (REST/SOAP, RDBMS, third-party connectors) following documented design patterns and performance considerations.
- Implement Appian components: SAIL interfaces, process models, rules/expressions, Records, CDTs, Web APIs, reports, and integrations.
- Apply code standards, reuse strategies, and design patterns; participate in peer reviews during sprints and support Associate-level team members.
- Optimize during development for UX and performance (efficient queries, orchestration, paging, caching, responsive UIs).
- Perform unit testing and code reviews; validate security roles and data access; fix defects proactively.
- Assist with performance tuning and troubleshooting using logs, performance dashboards, and Appian Health Check prior to release.
- Support packaging and promotion of applications across environments with Appian deployment tooling/Admin Console; contribute to release notes and rollback plans.
- Support release coordination with QA/DevOps and stakeholders; ensure compliance with quality and security gates in Agile increments.
- Stabilize and support post-go-live: monitor, triage, resolve incidents; perform root-cause analysis and deliver hotfixes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement: adopt new Appian features, help refine reusable components, and share knowledge with Associate team members.
