Overview

Senior Business Systems Analyst I role at Carelon Global Solutions India, responsible for defining and mapping the scope of Business Systems projects.

What you'll do

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements with healthcare business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system design documents.
• Use SQL to perform data analysis, data validation, root cause analysis, impact assessments, and support UAT activities.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, QA teams, and project managers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Manage and track requirements, defects, enhancements, and sprint activities using Jira and Confluence.
• Perform gap analysis, workflow analysis, process mapping, and solution recommendations for healthcare applications and reporting systems.
• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirement walkthroughs, and release planning.
• Partner with healthcare operational teams to understand claims, eligibility, enrollment, provider, member, or clinical business processes and translate them into system requirements.
• Facilitate UAT planning, test case reviews, defect triage, and business sign-off activities.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, coordinate with support and development teams, and drive issue resolution.
• Prepare executive-ready documentation, status reports, presentations, and business communications for leadership and stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 5-11 years of total experience on Data Analysis, Data Mapping, Data Mining, Data Visualizations, SQL, address questions based on data findings.
• Strong communication (ability to talk to all levels of business, SME to VP).
• 5-11 years of experience in the Business Systems Analyst role.
• JIRA expert knowledge (mandatory).
• Scrum / Kanban team experience (mandatory).
• Story writing and story structuring to support delivery across complex data environments.

Nice to have

• Healthcare domain knowledge and subject area expertise (2-3 areas preferred, such as Claims, Member, Provider).
• Experience with Agile / SAFe methodology.
