Sr Electrical Engineer – Federal Experience

Overview

Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer for Federal projects, supporting electrical power distribution, controls, grounding, and related design through the project lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Lead or assist electrical design of power distribution infrastructure for DoD and mission critical facilities.
• Develop integrated controls sequences and schematics for power distribution equipment.
• Develop and edit product specifications for power distribution equipment and electrical components.
• Interface with client SMEs to coordinate power systems components, controls, and integration.
• Create designs from site assessments and concept design through final design.
• Perform power systems studies by building electrical models in SKM (or similar software).
• Create and supervise electrical plans/details using Revit or AutoCAD.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8 years of relevant electrical power system design experience.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer's license.
• 15+ years of experience.
• Experience with spot networks and micro-grid systems.
• Experience with telecommunications network, A/V, and electronic security design in DoD and mission critical projects.

Details

• Location: Dallas or Houston, TX office; remote may be available for the right candidate.
• Onsite requirement: newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
• Timeframe: AECOM intends to fill by October 28, 2026.
