Job description

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and support secure, scalable ServiceNow solutions. The role works across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), collaborating with architects, platform owners, process teams, business stakeholders, platform teams, and security teams.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities.
  • Build and enhance ITSM workflows, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
  • Develop ITOM capabilities such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and integrations with monitoring tools.
  • Maintain CMDB data quality, including CI identification and reconciliation, relationships, normalization, and health reporting.
  • Configure and enhance TPRM capabilities, including vendor onboarding, risk assessments, questionnaires, issues, workflows, and reporting.
  • Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, spokes, MID Servers, and other appropriate integration patterns.
  • Create and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, Flow Designer flows, Catalog Items, and notifications.
  • Apply platform security controls, including ACLs, roles, groups, and data access rules.
  • Support deployments through update sets or application repositories, and follow development, testing, and release management practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Participate in requirements discussions, solution design, code reviews, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Follow secure development practices and support compliance needs in regulated environments, including FedRAMP-aligned ServiceNow environments.
  • Collaborate with platform and security teams to maintain separation of duties, access controls, auditability, and change traceability.

What you'll need

  • 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
  • Strong development experience with JavaScript and the ServiceNow scripting framework.
  • Practical experience delivering solutions across ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB.
  • Experience configuring and supporting TPRM workflows and risk management processes.
  • Experience with Discovery, MID Server configuration, CI identification and reconciliation, and CMDB relationships.
  • Experience building and consuming REST or SOAP integrations.
  • Proficiency with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, ACLs, and Service Catalog.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow upgrade, testing, deployment, and release management practices.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or relevant CIS certifications.
  • Experience with ServiceNow TPRM, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), or Vendor Risk Management implementations.
  • Experience with Service Mapping, Event Management, Service Graph Connectors, or CMDB Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Automated Test Framework (ATF), Performance Analytics, source control, and automated deployment practices.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
