Sr. Java Spring boot Developer

Overview

Work as a Senior Java Spring Boot Backend Developer building scalable backend applications, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions. Use Claude, Claude Code, or similar AI assistants throughout the software development lifecycle while maintaining production-grade quality, security, performance, maintainability, and compliance.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement business logic using clean-code and SOLID principles.
• Troubleshoot L2/L3 production issues.
• Perform performance tuning.
• Implement service-to-service communication, fault tolerance, API gateways, configuration management, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Design tables, indexes, queries, and relationships.
• Optimize slow queries and database performance.
• Use Claude/Claude Code or similar AI development tools for requirements analysis, technical design, task breakdown, coding, refactoring, unit/integration test generation, debugging, code reviews, security analysis, documentation, API documentation, and test-case generation.
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
• Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Perform API testing.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Establish coding standards.
• Identify and reduce technical debt.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and developers.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture/design discussions.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers.

What you'll need

• 6–10+ years of experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud-native development experience.
• Java 8/11/17/21, OOP, Collections, and Multithreading.
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Microservices, REST APIs, and Distributed Systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Hibernate/JPA.
• JUnit, Mockito, and Integration Testing.
• Maven or Gradle.
• Git.
• REST, JSON, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Clean Code, SOLID, Design Patterns, and Code Review.
• Experience using Claude/Claude Code or similar AI assistants throughout the SDLC.
• Understanding of the limitations and risks of AI-generated code.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaboration with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and developers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong debugging, analytical, communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
