Sr Kafka Engineer

Overview

Sr Kafka Engineer role focused on designing, building, and maintaining high-volume mainframe business logic while supporting modernization and integration with cloud services.

What you'll do

• Monitor mainframe architecture to identify code optimizations and maintain performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions for mission-critical uptime.
• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration and integration.
• Refactor legacy code to enable interaction between modern cloud/mobile apps and mainframe core data.

What you'll need

• Experience as a software engineer on complex software projects.
• Strong coding and development experience in Java, Python, or .Net with debugging and problem-solving.
• Experience using software development methodologies to build scalable, robust software.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
• Knowledge of architecture design including microservices, containers (Docker & k8s), and messaging queues.
• Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns.
