Overview
Sr Network Test Engineer for data center fabric testing, designing and executing validation and PoC test plans on switching platforms.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and execute test plans for functional/feature validation and customer use cases.
- Validate Junos/Sonic functionality on Broadcom-based switching platforms.
- Replicate customer network architectures in a lab and test multi-stage IP Clos fabrics.
- Run functional, interoperability, scale, and convergence testing for BGP underlays and EVPN-VXLAN overlays.
- Test AI/ML data center fabric use cases including RoCEv2 traffic profiles and lossless Ethernet behaviors.
- Perform routing/overlay protocol configuration and troubleshooting across BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, and DCI scenarios.
- Use traffic generators to measure throughput, latency, packet loss, and convergence; document results and defects.
What you'll need
- 7–10 years of experience in network software/testing/engineering/TAC/escalation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IPCLOS fabric architecture, AI/ML fabric, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and IPv6 networking protocols.
- Hands-on CLI experience with at least one major data center NOS (Junos, NX-OS, EOS, or SONiC).
- Hands-on traffic generation and analysis tools (Ixia/Keysight IxNetwork, Spirent TestCenter, or open-source equivalents).
- Strong troubleshooting methodology across control plane, data plane, and optics/physical layer.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills, including customer-facing communication.
