Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for GE Vernova Grid Software, responsible for end-to-end testing and validation of software used for critical power system operations.

What you'll do

• Develop, execute, and maintain test strategies, test cases, and validation frameworks.
• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and end-to-end validation for power system applications.
• Design and implement automated test solutions and promote quality engineering practices.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product/domain stakeholders to translate requirements into test plans.
• Validate algorithms, analytical functions, and operational workflows across product modules.
• Manage defects via quality reviews, defect triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or software product validation.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automated testing tools.
• Strong power systems and utility domain expertise validating transmission/EMS/SCADA/WAMS or related electrification software.
• Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD and continuous testing practices.
• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
