Sr. Security Engineer

Overview

Senior Security Engineer for a 24x7 Global SOC team within Enterprise Information Security at Hitachi Digital.

What you'll do

• Monitor, triage, and investigate alerts from SIEM, EDR, DLP, email security, and identity protection.
• Lead investigations of escalated security incidents and drive them to resolution with RCA.
• Perform proactive threat hunting across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and maintain detection use cases, correlation rules, and security analytics.
• Manage and optimize security controls, policies, and automated workflows within EDR platforms.
• Conduct malware analysis across endpoints, identities, cloud services, and network environments.
• Review telemetry, logs, and threat intelligence to identify anomalies and attack patterns.

What you'll need

• 4-6 years of experience in a 24x7 SOC environment.
• Strong experience handling escalated security incidents and leading investigations.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, email security, and identity protection.
• Experience creating and tuning correlation rules, detection logic, and security policies.
• Experience working with CrowdStrike Falcon or other enterprise EDR platforms.
• Experience in incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, and malware investigations.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and Windows/Linux/Unix/macOS/server environments.
