Overview
Senior Software Engineer responsible for evolving cloud foundations and building safer, more resilient, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure across a multi-account, multi-region AWS environment.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and operate reliable cloud platforms across infrastructure domains.
- Improve scalability, capacity management, isolation, recovery, and cost efficiency.
- Build infrastructure-as-code workflows and reusable automation for provisioning, testing, rollout, rollback, and drift prevention.
- Identify shared failure modes and implement safeguards against broad customer impact.
- Participate in operational ownership and incident response.
- Mentor engineers and communicate architecture, trade-offs, risks, and migration plans.
What you'll need
- 6+ years designing and building software, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Experience operating critical systems in production.
- Deep expertise in compute, networking, storage, stateful systems, or cloud infrastructure control planes.
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals in Go, Python, Java, or a similar language.
- Experience operating infrastructure on a major public cloud platform.
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration systems.
- Experience operating stateful distributed systems such as Kafka, OpenSearch, databases, caching, or large-scale storage platforms.
- Experience building internal infrastructure platforms or self-service developer experiences.
- Experience designing multi-account or multi-region cloud architectures.
- Experience leading infrastructure migrations while maintaining availability.
