Overview
Senior Software Quality Automation Engineer working within an AI-SDLC workflow to design and own test strategy and automation across multiple layers.
What you'll do
- Drive work from Jira tickets and Confluence to manage requirements and context.
- Own test strategy and automation architecture across functional, E2E (Playwright), BDD, performance (JMeter), and data validation.
- Build and maintain Python-based test frameworks and BDD feature suites aligned to business requirements.
- Design and govern JMeter performance test plans, analyze results, and drive remediation.
- Serve as the go-to QA engineer for complex test challenges involving regulatory risk or ambiguity.
- Produce test strategy documents, defect trend analyses, and quality reports.
- Incorporate client pharma and regulatory needs into test coverage decisions and participate in incident responses.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of expertise in test requirement understanding and test case/test plan design.
- 3+ years of test automation for UI and API testing with Selenium web-driver (v3+)/Playwright and Python programming.
- Deep BDD expertise including Gherkin authoring and step library architecture.
- Proven JMeter experience in test plan design, distributed execution, and results analysis.
- Strong experience writing DB queries (preferably Postgres/Snowflake/MySQL/RDS).
- Hands-on experience in an AI-augmented or agentic environment (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, AWS Bedrock).
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
