Sr. Staff Software Engineer- Dot Net

Overview

Sr. Staff Software Engineer responsible for leading architecture, development, reliability, security, and technical strategy for complex Dot Net enterprise systems.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture and development of scalable backend APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native services.
• Drive technical strategy, architectural decisions, modernization, and technical-debt reduction.
• Champion responsible AI adoption across engineering workflows and lead technical experiments.
• Own reliability, observability, production readiness, incident response, and root cause improvements.
• Guide secure handling of payroll, tax, financial, and personally identifiable information.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across multiple teams.
• Lead large initiatives across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in Dot Net development.
• Experience with scalable backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Redis and/or Hazelcast and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or OpenTelemetry.

Nice to have

• Experience in payroll, tax, HR, fintech, compliance, financial systems, or other regulated domains.
• Understanding of U.S. and/or Canadian payroll processing concepts.
• Experience with high-volume, high-availability transaction processing systems.
