Staff AI Security Engineer

Overview

Staff AI Security Engineer for the Security Solutions team within Information Security & Risk, focused on securing AI across Addepar’s platform.

What you'll do

• Advise on AI Security architectures by staying current on AI security trends and innovations.
• Partner with engineering and application security to ensure AI is used securely across the platform.
• Securely enable internal AI productivity initiatives in collaboration with the Architecture team.
• Defend against AI-based attacks and threats (e.g., supply chain compromises) using guardrails and controls.
• Guide and mentor security teams on leveraging AI for security benefits.
• Maintain AI governance documentation and provide guidance to employees.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of dedicated experience in security engineering, application security, infrastructure security, data security, or cloud security.
• Track record of turning vague security problems into structured project plans and executing them to completion.
• Attention to details and analytical skills.
• Deep expertise in AI areas including AWS Services, LLMs, MCP, agentic agents, governance & regulations, attacks, and guardrails.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, including securing non-human identities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
