Staff Applications Engineer

Overview

Staff Applications Engineer role focused on automotive hardware system development, system demonstrators, and embedded firmware solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead development of hardware systems, evaluation boards, and demonstrators.
• Own the embedded firmware definition for Infineon’s automotive MCU product family.
• Handle product-to-system activities including interoperability experiments and throughput analysis.
• Apply HW design workflow expertise covering schematics entry, layout, Gerber preparation, and PCB manufacturing nuances.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelors or Masters in Electronics/Communication/Instrumentation.
• Bring 5+ years of experience.
• Demonstrate strong circuits knowledge and a hands-on tinkering mindset.
• Understand embedded systems at a block-diagram level.
• Be able to develop hardware schematics and bring-up plans for new silicon and evaluation boards.
• Use debug tools such as oscilloscopes, debuggers, and protocol analyzers for optimization.
