Staff Data Scientist

Overview

Staff Data Scientist to lead data science across product and business problems for Xometry’s India product development team.

What you'll do

• Drive AI-enabled software development and champion adoption of AI across the SDLC.
• Define metrics for product and business performance and identify key drivers.
• Analyze data to recommend actions and estimate business impact.
• Design experiments and apply statistical and causal inference methods.
• Build and evaluate predictive models to estimate business outcome likelihoods.
• Prepare and analyze large datasets using cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
• Serve as a founding data scientist to establish data science practices and mentor others.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of progressive data scientist experience, with a significant portion in a staff/principal/director-level role.
• Bachelor’s degree required; applied math, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with statistical modeling and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, SciPy, and scikit-learn preferred).
• Proficiency in linear algebra and statistics.
• Familiarity with scientific software principles such as versioning systems and reproducibility.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
