Staff Engineer - Data Path

Overview

Senior Software Engineer in the Data Ocean engineering team, building and optimizing high-performance data path software for next-generation AI and enterprise storage platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and implement high-performance data path components for the Data Ocean platform.
• Develop caching capabilities for object storage workloads.
• Build scalable data movement services across object, file, and block storage environments.
• Implement metadata management services for object tracking, lookup, and retrieval.
• Optimize data transfer pipelines for throughput, latency, scalability, and reliability.
• Analyze, debug, and optimize system performance for large-scale storage workloads.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience developing systems, storage, or distributed systems software.
• Strong C/C++ expertise for production-grade software.
• Strong Linux systems programming experience.
• Experience with multithreaded programming, concurrency, synchronization, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of storage systems, filesystems, or distributed storage architectures.
• Experience with object storage concepts and APIs, including S3.
• Ability to debug complex software issues and optimize performance-critical systems.
