Staff Engineer - Golang + Storage

Overview

Staff Engineer on the Ecosystem Team, owning key features and components across software development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Own design and development for K8s, OpenStack, and related technologies.
• Participate in requirements, design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Perform unit testing and code reviews.
• Design and implement automation tests for CI/CD pipeline.
• Instrument code to collect metrics for monitoring and supportability.
• Troubleshoot CI pipeline and production issues.
• Collaborate across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and domain teams.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of hands-on software development experience using Golang.
• Strong programming skills with foundational CS and OOP knowledge.
• Strong storage domain experience (mandatory).
• Excellent system design and object-oriented design skills.
• Experience implementing REST APIs and integrating them into frontend and other services.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems.
• BS or MS in Computer Science.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker or other infrastructure software.
• Experience deploying a global service in AWS or Azure.
• Security and compliance consciousness.
