Overview
Staff Engineer role focused on DFT and hardware engineering tasks such as planning, design, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems.
What you'll do
- Plan, optimize, verify, and test critical electronic systems including bring-up yield, circuits, and mechanical systems.
- Integrate complex hardware features and functionality according to proposals or roadmaps.
- Conduct complex simulations and analyses and implement designs optimized for power, performance, and area.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new requirements and test solutions to improve yield, test time, and quality.
- Evaluate and develop manufacturing of solutions and support bring-up to meet customer expectations and schedules.
- Evaluate reliability of materials/techniques and apply innovation, automation, and optimization to maximize productivity.
- Evaluate design features to identify potential flaws, compatibility issues, and/or compliance issues.
- Write detailed technical documentation for complex hardware projects.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
- OR Master’s degree in the same fields with 3+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
- OR PhD in the same fields with 2+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
- Verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information.
Nice to have
- 8+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of circuit design experience (digital, analog, RF).
- 2+ years of experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
- 2+ years of experience using hardware design and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools).
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
