Staff Engineer ( Platform FW integration)

Overview

Staff Engineer responsible for platform integration, test automation, and BSP enablement across Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead complex technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other engineers.
• Drive test framework development and improve scalability, reliability, and reuse using Python and shell.
• Develop HLOS-based test automation and validation workflows.
• Customize and rebuild Qualcomm BSPs and lead platform bring-up and integration (board management, networking).
• Perform root-cause analysis for issues across firmware, kernel, drivers, middleware, applications, and hardware interaction.
• Communicate complex technical risks and solutions to cross-functional stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, platform integration, embedded software, or related experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation, test development, and tooling.
• Working knowledge of HLOS internals (Linux driver experience preferred).
• Experience with embedded programming in C and/or C++.
• Experience with BSP customization on Qualcomm or equivalent embedded platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Good understanding of embedded networking fundamentals (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, automotive networking).

Nice to have

• Experience with Yocto, Android build systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Snapdragon Automotive platforms SA8295, SA8650, and SA8797.
• Experience with Robot framework.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
