Overview

Staff Field Engineer for Germany (Remote) at Grafana Labs, supporting strategic customer engagements and enabling solution engineering with technical expertise, training content, and production demo infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Advise on and support strategic deals and customer engagements with Solution Engineers and Observability Architects.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one Grafana Platform area and develop reference architectures.
• Own end-to-end creation and curation of technical training content (workshops, how-to guides, demo scripts) and set a review cadence.
• Architect, engineer, and maintain a live production environment for demo, workshop, and POV infrastructure.
• Influence product direction and represent Field Engineering in product planning cycles.
• Provide technical guidance to Solution Engineers, Observability Architects, and customers; update product documentation and contribute written content.
• Mentor Senior and Staff Solution Engineers and Field Engineers.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8+ years of related technical experience.
• At least 2+ years in a Senior Field Engineer role (or equivalent).
• Experience serving as an SRE, Developer, Architect, and/or successful presales Solution Architect.
• Expert understanding of Grafana and associated technologies, with SME depth in at least one Grafana Platform area.
• Comfort with programming languages and the modern software development lifecycle, including debugging and investigation.
• Working familiarity with Linux and common tools.
• Ability to architect on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IaC with Terraform and related architecture technologies.

Details

• Compensation in Germany: OTE EUR 137,000 - EUR 164,000.
• Work mode: Remote.
