Staff/Principal Engineer, Product Engineering

Overview

Staff/Principal Engineer in NAND Silicon Design Validation Product Engineering, focused on development, validation, characterization, and qualification of new NAND Flash memory products.

What you'll do

• Characterize, debug, and validate NAND from an ONFI performance perspective across digital and analog circuitry.
• Develop NAND validation and characterization programs and use them to debug advanced NAND designs and features.
• Analyze large data sets on NAND characteristics to improve design margin and functionality.
• Coordinate with fabrication, manufacturing, system, tester vendors, design engineering, and RWB teams.
• Apply engineering bench and testers for device characterization and electrical failure analysis.
• Come up with coding macros/blocks as needed for validation and analysis tasks.
• Act as a product-specific point of contact between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Business Units, and Quality Assurance.

What you'll need

• 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 6 years with a Master’s degree preferred) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Operating knowledge of CMOS devices/design/circuits and operation.
• Strong preference for coursework in VLSI, digital circuits, CMOS process/fabrication, and statistics.
• Tester knowledge valued (e.g., Magnum, Advantest) and coding skills (tester coding, Python, Perl, C++).
• Good understanding of data analysis and statistical methods.
• Strong self-motivation, problem-solving, and effective communication in written and spoken English.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor characterization techniques and equipment.
