Staff Software Development Engineer

Overview

Staff Software Development Engineer responsible for building scalable data engineering systems that support advertising reporting, attribution, analytics, and real-time decisioning.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain large-scale data pipelines for Ads reporting, attribution, and analytics.
• Process petabyte-scale datasets using Hive, Spark, SQL, Scala, and Kafka.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver reliable datasets and APIs with data scientists, product managers, and platform engineers.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across data sources.
• Troubleshoot real-time streaming pipelines and batch data jobs.
• Evaluate technologies to improve the Ads Data platform.

What you'll need

• 6–9 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong programming experience in Scala, Java, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for batch and streaming processing.
• Proficiency in Hive, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with Kafka for real-time event streaming.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in AdTech, attribution, or campaign analytics.
• Familiarity with AWS EMR, GCP BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with Airflow scheduling services.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
