Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Staff Software Engineer responsible for technical leadership and driving software initiatives with significant AI components, from strategy through delivery.

What you'll do

• Develop strategic AI implementation roadmaps and integrate AI into software initiatives.
• Apply modern software development practices across the end-to-end software development life cycle.
• Design enterprise-grade architectures and coordinate multi-team efforts.
• Optimize cloud resource costs and address performance and scale challenges, including AI model drift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to deliver projects, define activities, and manage milestones and timelines.
• Mentor and train engineers, including Sr. Software Engineers, and provide specialist guidance to management.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including work with co-located and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft C++ (MFC, COM, Win32) and object-oriented design/development skills.
• Knowledge of OOP principles including SOLID, DRY, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD), plus core database design fundamentals.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-native software engineering workflows.
• Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices/tools such as GitHub workflows.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, ALB, Auto Scaling, RDS, Lambda, SQS).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
• Hybrid work model: 2–3 days per week in the office, depending on role.
