Overview

Staff Software Engineer working on Tide’s agentic platform, bridging backend systems with Generative AI for financial services.

What you'll do

• Build core services for the agentic platform, including APIs, workflow orchestration, and tool integration.
• Integrate bought components and build areas where control, trust, and reuse matter most.
• Collaborate with product, data, platform, and security teams to productionise shared AI capabilities.
• Design services that are reliable, secure, observable, and easy for other teams to adopt.
• Help shape reusable engineering patterns for AI-enabled workflows.
• Design and build automated evaluation pipelines to measure agent reasoning accuracy and safety trajectories.

What you'll need

• Strong backend or platform engineering experience in production environments.
• Good judgement across APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and service design.
• Experience integrating internal and third-party platforms.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and turning emerging needs into robust platform components.
• Strong focus on quality, reliability, and developer usability.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is valuable but not essential.
