Staff Software Engineer - Trading

Overview

Staff Backend Software Engineer for Addepar’s Trading suite, building a scalable, tax-efficient trading and rebalancing platform.

What you'll do

• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions for complex problems.
• Write well-designed, testable, clean code that is scalable and maintainable.
• Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solution delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partners on projects.
• Act as an engineering representative to clients and support communications from engineering.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in designing a strategic product.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expert-level backend development experience focused on Java.
• Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
• Deep knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction for complex distributed systems.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Details

• Range for this role in Colorado, California, and New York: $187,000–$234,000 base salary (plus bonus, equity, and benefits).
