Storage and Backup Engineer

Overview

Senior Storage Engineer responsible for monitoring, implementation, and management of the organization’s File/Block storage infrastructure, ensuring data availability, scalability, and security.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot complex storage issues to minimize downtime.
• Oversee and optimize File/Block storage for high availability and performance.
• Run capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs.
• Monitor storage performance and collaborate with US resources for improvements.
• Implement integration and automation solutions and provide feedback to the US team.
• Implement security measures for data integrity and compliance.
• Maintain documentation and train junior team members.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in storage engineering focused on File/Block storage.
• Expertise in File/Block storage technologies (Dell, NetApp, Pure, AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage).
• Knowledge of storage protocols, data protection strategies, and security best practices.
• Basic scripting/automation knowledge (Python, Bash).
• Experience with cloud storage platforms and services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
