Strategic Account Executive, UKI

Overview

Strategic Account Executive (UKI) to sell the Kong Enterprise Platform into Central Government and broader public sector customers. You will own a territory, lead pre- and post-sales activities, and help acquire new public sector accounts.

What you'll do

• Sell the Kong Enterprise Platform to Central Government and broader public sector customers.
• Meet individual quota and objectives.
• Own the territory by navigating government procurement processes and buying criteria.
• Maintain pipeline accuracy based on evidence and work opportunities to closure.
• Provide account leadership across pre- and post-sales activities.
• Contribute analysis on wins and losses.
• Travel to customer and partner sites as required (30%–50%).

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience selling enterprise software with a proven track record of hitting targets.
• Experience with open source, APIs, and/or infrastructure software is a big plus.
• Ability to leverage established relationships in enterprise accounts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with government stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills in complex buying environments.
• Motivated, driven, and results-oriented approach.
