Strategic Business Development Lead

Overview

Own Anthropic’s product and distribution partner business development relationships, coordinating multiple deal streams to structure and close durable, multi-component agreements.

What you'll do

• Manage a small number of large, multi-faceted partner relationships end to end.
• Lead product partnerships to embed Claude and define product/technical/data/brand terms.
• Run multiple concurrent deal streams and sequence terms so they reinforce each other.
• Negotiate complex agreements covering commercial structure, economics, commitments, exclusivity, and data terms.
• Serve as primary executive counterpart and steer partner-level engagements through signature and into execution.
• Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Policy.

What you'll need

• Direct experience owning a large, multi-business partner relationship end to end.
• Track record structuring and closing product partnerships, including embedding and co-developed products.
• Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations with senior executives across multi-year commitments.
• Ability to manage several significant negotiations concurrently without losing focus.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional execution from structuring through signature and delivery.

Details

• Annual compensation range: $365,000–$425,000 USD.
• Logistics: minimum education is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination.
• Work mode: location-based hybrid policy; expected in one office at least 25% of the time.
• Visa sponsorship: Anthropic sponsors visas for some roles/candidates and makes reasonable efforts if offered.
