Support Engineer - Pulp & Paper - Water - Riegelwood, NC

Overview

Support Engineer for Solenis’ Pulp and Water division, providing on-site testing/monitoring and technical support for customers.

What you'll do

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer sites and enter data to support service reports.
• Interface with customers to understand issues related to chemicals or equipment.
• Manage customer product inventory, including deliveries to processing units and offloading to customer tanks.
• Adjust chemical feed levels based on routine testing and monitoring.
• Alert the site manager of problems/opportunities and begin troubleshooting.
• Conduct expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or another technical field (or experience in lieu of a technical degree).
• Solve complex and non-routine technical problems.
• Demonstrate strong relationship management skills.
• Be industry/customer literate or able to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly.
• Use Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen, and complete a physical.
