Overview
Supervise engineering information systems within Lam India’s LIGHT (EIS) team in Bangalore, leading CAD/PDM administration, support, and digital engineering process improvements.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage CAD, PDM administrators, support engineers, and vendor resources for service delivery.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of CAD systems including deployment, upgrades, maintenance, enhancements, and support.
- Establish and govern CAD standards, engineering workflows, configuration management, and data management processes.
- Lead multi-tier CAD/PDM support (L1, L2, L3) to resolve issues and maintain operational excellence.
- Drive PLM/PDM process standardization and lifecycle workflow optimization to improve productivity and data quality.
- Manage cross-functional programs across Engineering, IT, Product Development, Manufacturing, and external partners.
- Handle annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and budget management for CAD platforms and programs.
What you'll need
- 14–16 years of progressive experience in CAD, PLM/PDM, engineering systems, product development, digital engineering, or engineering automation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech.) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of first-line people management experience leading technical teams.
- Hands-on expertise in MCAD & Teamcenter administration and governance in a global, multi-site engineering environment.
- Experience managing direct reports, contingent workforce teams (>20 resources), and vendor partners.
- Deep expertise in defining, standardizing, and improving CAD/PDM processes and engineering data management workflows.
- Demonstrated situational leadership, performance management, talent development, and continuous improvement culture-building.
