System Software Engineer III (Python Automation, Multi-Features Test (MFT), MPLS (RSVP/LDP), SR-MPLS, SRv6)

Overview

System Software Engineer III role focused on Python-driven automation and multi-feature testing for complex networking/software interactions, including MPLS and SR-MPLS/SRv6.

What you'll do

• Design and architect multi-features test solutions based on real customer use cases and deployment environments.
• Create end-to-end test strategies and detailed test plans for interconnected software features.
• Build realistic test topologies mirroring customer production setups for multi-service configurations.
• Perform manual exploratory testing, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Automate test cases using the PyTest framework for repeatable validation of feature interactions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align testing with customer needs, release goals, and quality standards.

What you'll need

• Strong automation background and essential Python proficiency for automation scripts and tools.
• Hands-on test experience in MPLS (RSVP/LDP), SR-MPLS, and SRv6.
• Experience with VPN features including L2VPN, L2Circuit, VPLS, L3VPN, EVPN-MPLS, and EVPN-VXLAN.
• Knowledge of multicasting technologies including PIM, IGMP, MLD, and Multicast VPN.
• Experience with MACSEC and firewall/ACL knowledge including Firewall Filter.
• Ability to use automation frameworks, including familiarity with PyTest and ROBOT (beneficial).

• Onsite role with primary work from an HPE office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
• Minimum qualifications include 7-11 years of relevant experience.
