Tech Lead - SAP Basis

Overview

Senior Workload Automation Expert to take over global operation of the new Automation and Monitoring Center for ZEISS's SAP datacenter in the Microsoft Azure environment, with SAP Basis responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Deliver global (EMEA, APAC, AMER) and business critical Workload Automation services, aligned with business demand and within agreed SLAs.
• Ensure delivery of SLA 1 Class Support for the Workload Automation Service.
• Maintain and improve the operational model of the Workload Automation tool (preferably Redwood and other providers, e.g. Broadcom UC4).
• Lead migration projects in the Workload Automation domain.
• Keep documentation up to date, ensure connection and process between all services, and minimal overlap between services delivered by different teams.
• Identify potential risks to service delivery and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption.
• Continuously assess and enhance Workload Automation processes, implementing best practices and standards.
• Keep close contact with external parties associated with the Workload Automation domain.
• Drive the Workload Automation strategy, bring service overview to the table, and steer service transformation where needed.
• Develop and communicate work instructions and design technical and operational processes in the Workload Automation domain.
• Implement changes to local and regional applications and service requests, including data reloads, administrative tasks and minor application changes.
• Manage incidents and resolve technical incidents for worldwide users.
• Ensure appropriate technical system documentation and perform proper daily handover to Germany.
• Further develop and automate the products and services used.
• Operate and monitor data center and cloud structures (SAP systems, databases, operating systems, networks).
• Monitor and optimize SAP systems, databases, operating systems and networks for performance, availability and stability.
• Perform 2nd and 3rd level analysis and troubleshooting, and process requests from internal partners.
• Provide commissioned data center and cloud solutions to internal partners.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience as an SAP workload automation expert.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis.
• Experience with S/4 HANA and cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with system refresh, system copy, and SAP backup and recovery.
• Experience with SAP Support Pack upgrades, SAP kernel upgrades, and deployment of add-on components using SPAM/SAINT.
