Overview
Technical Lead in Electrical Engineering focused on sustaining embedded hardware for fire detection systems, including design guidance, development, testing, and compliance.
What you'll do
- Manage and deliver new or modified product functionalities.
- Convert marketing requirements into product functional specifications and related technical documentation.
- Lead hardware design and product qualification activities from an end-to-end system perspective.
- Provide technical guidance for embedded HW design, development, and testing with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot and investigate manufacturing issues.
- Execute prototype testing, collect data, and perform detailed competitor product and BOM cost analysis.
- Run hardware evaluation and recommend compatibility specifications between hardware and software.
What you'll need
- 9+ years’ experience in embedded hardware design and troubleshooting.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller and microprocessor based embedded design.
- Expert understanding of multilayer PCB design processes and design reviews.
- Experience with schematic and layout tools, specifically Altium Designer.
- Experience handling test/debbuging equipment (oscilloscope and RF spectrum analyzers).
- Expert technical skills in DFMEA, VA/VE, DFM, DFT, failure and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with product compliance testing per IEC, CE, EN, FCC, and UL standards; EMI/EMC design and testing is a must.
