Technical Support Engineer - L2 Switching

Overview

L2 Technical Support Engineer for HPE Networking (L2 TAC) supporting HPE/Juniper Campus & Data-Center products and technologies.

What you’ll do

• Support customer-reported issues through to resolution.
• Prioritize and communicate effectively among stakeholders.
• Contribute to new product/feature readiness.
• Create and improve knowledge and quality initiatives.
• Participate in training and mentoring activities.
• Work weekends/holidays as required by business needs.

What you’ll need

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer handling skills.
• Ability to logically troubleshoot complex and high-impact problems.
• Self-learning mindset with appetite for continuous development.
• In-depth switching technology knowledge (xSTP, VRRP, LACP, Dot1x, COS, QOS).
• Knowledge of IP and related protocols (ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP).

• Work is designed as Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
