Technology Support Engineer

Overview

Lead technical support and maintenance for MS SQL database systems, ensuring operational stability, process adherence, and timely issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Lead database support and maintenance within the operating model.
• Manage and delegate monitoring, incident resolution, and ticket closure.
• Oversee database restarts, backups, user management, restores, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Configure replication and manage database performance, security, and availability.
• Execute and oversee upgrades, migrations, recovery, and SQL Server provisioning.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and coordinate with stakeholders and escalation teams.
• Create, review, and update procedures and technical documentation.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of experience.
• Expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
• Expertise in managing and administering MS SQL databases.
• Advanced proficiency in writing, reviewing, and optimizing SQL queries.
• Experience with SQL Server Agent and clustered and non-clustered SQL Server instances.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Ability to lead teams in a 24x7 support environment.
