Overview
QA Automation Engineer role in Hitachi Energy’s Enterprise Software R&D unit, focused on building and maintaining automated tests to support reliable releases.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute test plans to meet stated objectives.
- Test software features and systems to validate intended designs and outcomes.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Perform API testing and API automation using Postman and Karate Framework.
- Create and maintain test cases, manual test execution, regression suites, and defect tracking using Jira and Zephyr Scale.
- Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions for QA standards.
- Investigate customer complaints and product issues.
What you'll need
- 5 to 8 years of experience in automation of test scenarios.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation and JavaScript/TypeScript (plus stated tooling like VS Code and Git).
- Expert knowledge of programming language JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
