Overview
The US Offboarding Specialist supports the Employee Relations Operations Offboarding Team in a Shared Services environment, supporting all business units in the US excluding Puerto Rico. The role provides support to employees, managers, HR professionals and HR Employment Counsel while supporting compliance, customer needs and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Provide guidance and support to the HR Partner community on separation packages.
- Analyze decisional unit output for accuracy.
- Create and manage the manual spreadsheet supporting the severance payout process.
- Research and resolve payout process inquiries to ensure complete, accurate and timely payouts.
- Activate outplacement services based on customized levels and partner with external outplacement services vendors.
- Analyze union code pension information and service years.
- Customize ADEA, also known as OWBPA, required attachments per Federal law monthly.
- Create the Special Tax for applicable states and partner with the Center of Excellence to stay current on state requirements.
- Create individual severance packets after research is finalized and manage updates as applicable.
- Provide guidance to HR Partners regarding documentation clarification.
- Provide guidance and decision-making input to HR Partners for special circumstances on various reductions in force.
- Manage and troubleshoot employee severance questions across the Value Stream on behalf of the customer experience.
- Audit and send severance packets to HR Partners, including analyzing changes.
- Process signed severance agreements and ensure compliance.
- Manage the end-to-end offboarding process for voluntary terminations in Workday without severance payout.
- Troubleshoot Bot technical issues.
- Manage and troubleshoot employee termination questions across the Value Stream on behalf of the customer experience.
What you'll need
- Previous experience in an HR Shared Services Center or a similar customer-facing type of environment.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential material.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong ServiceNow Case Management experience.
- Advanced skill with MS Excel.
- Critical thinking beyond standard work.
- Experience with Workday.
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related business field.
- 1-3 years’ experience.
- Ability to work for the Eastern time zone in the US.
- Compliance with RTX’s Code of Ethics, the Policy Statement on Business Ethics and Conduct in Contracting with the U.S. Government, and related policies.
Nice to have
- Experience with ADP Enterprise version 5.
- Ability to partner and interact with managers, HR Partners and employees.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications.
Details
- Hybrid role, with regular work both onsite and offsite; the ratio of onsite time will be determined in partnership with the leader.
- Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
- The position supports business units in the US excluding Puerto Rico.
- Work is aligned to the Eastern US time zone.
