Overview

User Experience Engineer III (Full stack, web heavy) for Expedia’s flights shopping team.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain full stack web experiences using React.js and Java/Kotlin services.
• Implement reusable UI components and client-side state management patterns.
• Design RESTful APIs and data models for user-centric functionality.
• Own feature lifecycle from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and UX to deliver cohesive experiences across domains.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and full-stack component and data model designs.
• Ability to own features end-to-end including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Practical familiarity with AI-driven tools/systems in the software development lifecycle.
